In the last week and a half I’ve been from 90 degree full sun climbing in the driest, rockiest place, to bundling in ten layers to hike above the damp snowline in a rainy, icy forest. I have had a great road trip this time even though I didn’t get to go as far as I wanted to…I’ll have to save the east coast trip for june, or for september.
I went hiking and looking up here in western washington, in and around seattle and stuff. My fella and I went driving and hiking all over, saw buzzards, a flooded road, some mountain devastations, and some really cool dirt roads… All in all a great time.
I’ll be back to work and home this week. I start up at the shop again on friday, if you’ve been trying to reach me I’ll be around starting then. I’m a bit home sick by now, and will be glad to see my puppy and my people again, even though I love my friends in AZ and my fella up here, it’ll still be nice to get home.
Also, in defense of easter: There’s a rabbit that brings you candy, on which you can gorge until you’re sick. Like how there’s only a few drunkard’s holidays, there’s aonly a few sugar-addict ones too, so make the most of it! Who cares if some dumb primitives believe a zombie war started this date thousands of years ago? Who cares if some vampire religion wants you to drink zombie blood? That’s actually a pretty damn good reason to eat too much sugar and call your mother.

Sadly, there were a ton of firemen belaying and rappelling all over the arch, so I was unable to do any free solo stuff out there (people with safety gear freak out when you take your shoes off and scale a cliff barehanded) but I did get to monkey around a little on some rocks on the way up to it.
I made a barn owl tonight. It was really, really fun. I love owls.
Excuse me while I climb out of this giant hole.
So I’m going to Seattle for my birthday to hang out and spend some time with my gentleman friend, Mark, (some of you may recall his presence at the Vancouver convention) also, to work with the kids at Cicada.
