I’m beginning the flu.
(picture unrelated- it’s rocks I found at the coast the other day)
Mary is still here, she has been making me tea and she cleaned my kitchen (out of pity), which was sweet of her. She has also taken over all the lumberjack duties, and seems entranced with the process of chopping wood. (to the point of injuring herself by falling on an axe- nothing major, just a drop of blood.)
She runs a nonprofit, and is a world traveler. I will say that she certainly knows how to be a great guest, and has some brilliant plans, and goals. I like her idealism and I can’t wait to see her travels- you can find her site at http://www.nonquistadora.com/Nonquistadora/about.html
Right now she’s looking for sponsors for her long north/south trip through the americas. She’ll be on a motorbike, riding solo. She’s one of those genuine, kind, people that makes me feel like my nihilism and pessimistic view of the world should maybe lighten up a little. And her work is very worthwhile- you should take a peek at her page, her trip will be beginning very soon, so there will be some good updates there.
As for the flu, I’m taking every magical hippy vitamin I can find. And now I shall go chug some nyquil.
